Getting to know Angel B. Hakim, The Spiritual Analyst

Let me begin by saying that I have been blogging procrastination for the last couple of years but I feel the need to be able to talk about me and what I believe so that people will come to understand who I am. I am Angel Branham Hakim the daughter of a Southern Prophet, and then one would ask what is a prophet? Well from my understanding of who my father was, a prophet was someone who was designated by god to be a spiritual problem solver. Prophets have to defend against the negative energy and deeds that people will do to harm others. What makes them so unique is that they can see beyond that which is visible to the naked eye. They are also the people who have been called to fight the spiritual demons that have dominion on the earth. In the south, my dad was called a "Root Doctor", because he was able to harness the energy of the herbs and bring about healing and positive change. My dad raised his children on the healing properties of the plants of the earth that were used to bring about healing.

As a child, there were six children in the household and our family did not spend time in the doctor’s office. As the eldest, I remember the sardines for mumps and the drinking of hot tea with the chicken pox and even asifeda to cleanse our blood once a month. Because my parents relied heavily on holistic medicine to heal; looking in my kitchen cabinets today you will find many herbal supplements that I use for indigestion, energy and brainpower. Getting back to my belief system, in doing this blog I am learning how not to worry about how people judge my background and me. I also read tarot cards and work with a spirit; the funny thing is I have read many books pertaining mediumship and most tell that mediums can identify the spirit by name. I recognize the spiritual presence of my father who is my main spirit guide and he has been with me since he crossed over.

When I began to read cards in college in 1983, the spirit of my father provided me accurate information about the people for whom I read. What I find amazing is knowing so much about things that I did not learn from a book or a person, but from the spirit, that guides me in life. When I am in group setting I feel spirit guides calling out for me to see and hear them. I get impressions from them and it makes my family crazy because of the comments I make. Next blog entry will be why I consider myself a Spiritual Analyst and not a Psychic. How my spirit communicates with the clients spirit guide.
